The CIHLC’s New Partnership with the University Health Network’s (UHN) Collaborative Change Leadership (CCL) Program
The CIHLC is entering a new partnership with the University Health Network’s (UHN) Collaborative Change Leadership (CCL) Program based at the University of Toronto Centre for Interprofessional Education (CIPE). Through the CIHLC’s scientific research into collaborative leadership the CCL program was found to have similar goals for collaborative leadership as well as a similar structure so, rather than launch an additional leadership education program, the CIHLC approached the UHN to create an integrated program.
The CIHLC will add community engagement (CE) and social accountability (SA) content as well as an online presence and an enhanced evaluation to the CCL Program. The grounding in SA and CE will provide the anchor for individuals to lead socially accountable change within and across organizations, ultimately improving access to healthcare for underserved groups. The online presence will create the potential to reach a wider audience across Canada and internationally. The integrated program will combine aspects of the CIHLC and CCL programs to work for Collaborative Leadership for Health Systems Change.
